by: Blue Marble
February 3, 2015

Did you know that January is…

  • National Thank You Monththank you
  • Weight Loss Awareness Month
  • National Mentoring Month
  • National Codependency Awareness Month
  • Stalking Awareness Month
  • Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month

Not sure how to participate? Well, it’s not too late. Here are a few ideas for some of the topics:

  • National Thank you Month
    • Start a gratitude journal and write one thing, or more, each day that you are thankful for.
    • Check out the following websites/apps that promote gratitude:
    • Volunteer – there’s no better way to say “Thank you” then giving back.
  • National Mentoring Month
    • Visit National Mentoring Month’s Website to get involvedteach empower motivate inspire
    • Check out Big Brothers Big Sisters
    • Remember that a mentee can be anyone from anywhere. Look around at your work, is there someone that could use mentoring from you?
    • Be committed.
    • Being a mentor can be as simple as offering encouragement and simple advice.
