The ZEN of Gardening

Keeping the financials in line and making sure the payroll is turned in are just a few of the things that Liz is responsible for as Blue Marble’s Office Manager. But, show her a picture of a plant and chances are she’ll not only be able to identify it but she might also be able to tell you the botanical name as well. You see, Liz is BML’s resident “Certified Master Gardener”, a title she earned through University of Arizona Maricopa County Cooperative Extension. She and her husband Mike were recently showcased in the July issue of Phoenix Home and Garden magazine.

Her home garden has been a labor of love for the past 14 years. Not all projects have succeeded but, because she isn’t afraid to try new things, it’s developed into the respite that it is today. Her landscape includes a Koi Pond, rock garden, fruit trees, seedless grape vines, a raised vegetable garden, and numerous plants, shrubs, trees, cacti, and flowers.Untitled

Liz is also a member of the Phoenix Bonsai Society, practicing her hand at this unique Japanese art. It’s exciting to know that landscaping isn’t all just work for the team at Blue Marble. It’s what we are passionate about in our professional and personal lives as well.
